CIPM urges HR practitioners to embrace new trends

The President and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, Mallam Ahmed Gobir, has stressed the need for human resource practitioners to adapt to shifting trends.

Gobir said this at his investiture ceremony recently in Lagos.

According to Gobir, his vision for CIPM is to solidify its status as a global leader in people management.

He stated that he aimed to achieve this by promoting best practices within the industry and expanding CIPM’s reach and influence locally and internationally.

Gobir noted CIPM’s commitment to fostering leadership and excellence in the field of human resource management.

“CIPM, founded with the mission to promote excellence in people management through value creation, optimisation of human potential, and the standardisation and regulation of HR practices, will continue to uphold its core values under my leadership,” he mentioned.

He added that the institute remained dedicated to advancing the profession, supporting its members, and contributing to the development of human resources in Nigeria and beyond.
