Rainbow College, Lagos emerged as the regional winner in the Association of Chartered Certified Accountant Secondary School Finance Competition, (SouthWest zone).
The ACCA, a globally acclaimed professional accountancy body, introduced this competition as a platform to identify and nurture emerging financial talent among secondary school students.
A statement by the school said it aimed to advocate for financial literacy and emphasise the importance of financial subjects as a pathway to future career success.
It added that in a display of academic prowess and financial acumen, Rainbow College solidified its position as a beacon of educational excellence, nd represented the region at the national finals by defeating prominent contenders.
The statement maintained that Rainbow College representatives at the ACCA Secondary School Finance Competition 2023 were Laseoluwa David Murewa, Valerie Balogun, Temitope Ogunjobi, and Ayomide Faboyede, all in Year 12 (SS three) with aspirations to pursue further studies in finance and accounting.
It read, “Their triumph showcases the exceptional abilities nurtured over the years, as well as Rainbow College’s dedication to shaping well-rounded individuals equipped to tackle the complexities of the financial world.
The principal of Rainbow College Boarding, Olufemi Oguntuase, mentioned that the students were committed and hardworking, saying that they approached all that they did with zeal and determination.
