‘Conducive environment boosts education’

The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Chemstar Group, Dr Emmanuel Awode, has said a conducive learning environment will boost quality education.

Awode said this while donating a primary and secondary school, Galilee Primary and Secondary School, to the Galilee Land City, Headquarters of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Orile-Igbon, Oyo State.

He added, “Through the school, we will be able to offer our children the quality education required for their overall growth and development. The state-of-the-art school complex, which we are about to inaugurate today, is a demonstration and attestation of our vision. The primary school consists of 14 classrooms, a principal office, a head teacher office, staff offices, pupils and teachers’ furniture, modern instructional materials, as well as modern conveniences for both students and teachers.

“Therefore, on behalf of RAF, I hand over the keys to the school to Baba Aladura in the name of the Lord, and for the use of humanity.”

Awode, added that education was the bedrock of national development, and self-actualisation, saying the school project reflected the unwavering commitment of the church and that of RAF in ensuring that every child, irrespective of socio-economic standing had the opportunity to access quality education in a conducive learning environment.

The Contractor and Chief Executive Officer of Aarob Construction Limited, the construction company that handled the school project, Mr Babatunde Adetona, noted that the project foundation was laid in January this year, and took eight months to be completed and delivered with all necessary facilities, fittings, and furniture.

According to him, the ground floor of seven classrooms with the head teacher’s office, and staff offices will house the primary school section, while the upper floor also consisting of seven classrooms, the principal’s office, and staff offices, is for the secondary school section.

The Baba Aladura, Dr S.A. Abidoye, expressed joy that the age-long dream of having a school established in the Galilee Land City had finally come to reality.
