Cyberchain, Africa’s Web 3, and digital economy aggregator, will host a tokenized economy conference.
According to the organisers, in a press release sent on Sunday, the event aims to spotlight the transformative potential of blockchain technology and artificial intelligence, as part of Cyberchain’s ongoing efforts to promote blockchain adoption across Nigeria.
It stated that the conference would take place on October 3-4 at Baze University, Abuja, accommodating over 3,000 participants and insights from over 30 tech leaders.
The conference, according to the organisers, comes at a time when Nigeria faces significant economic challenges, including corruption, inefficiencies, and economic volatility.
The co-founder of ICP Hub Sahara West Africa, Adedayo Adebajo, remarked, “We are excited to collaborate with Cyberchain to empower Nigerian youths with the relevant tech, incubation, and kick-off financial support.”
He said that would enable the youth to look within and propose homegrown innovative solutions to the challenges peculiar to us in Nigeria and Africa.
“We are confident that the winners will become positive success stories in the future,” he noted.
Blockchain technology, with its decentralised and secure ledger system, combined with the predictive and automation capabilities of AI, offers a powerful solution to these issues.
Organisers said that those technologies could enhance transparency, streamline operations, and drive innovation across various sectors in Nigeria.
One of the key discussions at the conference would centre on the tokenisation of digital assets and real estate, a process that converts real estate assets into digital tokens.
Tokenisation of digital assets enables fractional ownership and democratises investment opportunities, making property ownership more accessible to a broader segment of the Nigerian population.
The founder of Cyberchain, Jude Ozinegbe, noted, “Digital assets tokenisation, powered by blockchain technology is a game changer for any organisation or government that intends to elevate their businesses or the lives of their citizens, respectively.
“We are delighted that Cyberchain has taken the driver’s seat to bring this great opportunity to Nigerians,” he said.
