Edo North will give Okpebholo block vote

The Minister for Niger Delta Development, Abubakar Momoh, has said the people of Edo North Senatorial District will give the All Progressive Congress governorship candidate, Monday Okpebholo, a block vote in the September 21 election.

Momoh, who spoke in Ekpon, Igueben Local Government area of the state on Sunday during the ward-to-ward campaign, expressed optimism over the chances of the APC candidate to win the election.

He said, “We are giving Okpebholo block vote in If Edo North just like Edo South promised. So Edo North and Edo South have agreed to vote for the APC candidate, why will Edo Central, who brought the candidate, not vote for him?

“We are sure of Okpebholo’s victory at the poll, and that is why we are supporting him with all we have,” he added.

While also expressing his chances, Okpebholo said his state is not for sale.

Okpebholo promised to empower women and youths in the state and create an enabling environment for small and medium-scale businesses to thrive.

He also promised to provide a Primary Health Centre in the 192 wards in the state as well as support the health workers.

A former Governor of the state, Adams Oshiomhole, said a vote for Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party is a vote for Governor Gowin Obaseki to continue ruling.

On his part, the Coordinator of the APC campaign council in Edo Central Senatorial District, Odianosen Okojie, appealed to the party supporters to come out en masse on September 21 to cast their vote for the APC.

He assured the electorates that immediately after Okpebholo was elected, the dividends of democracy would be given to the Edo people.

Okpebholo, along with Oshiomhole, Ize-Iyamu, Matthew Urhoghide, and other campaign members, commissioned a bole hole donated by the APC governorship candidate to the Iruekpen community.
