Barcelona are ready to lure Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood to the club by offering him their iconic No.10 shirt, according to the UK Sun.
Greenwood left United to join Getafe on loan on the last day of the summer transfer window.
Before then, the 22-year-old had not played for the Red Devils since he was arrested in January 2022 for attempted rape, controlling behaviour and assault.
The charges against Greenwood were dropped in February, but United decided that the player needed to rebuild his career away from Old Trafford.
Since arriving at Getafe, Greenwood has scored three goals and provided four assists in 14 LaLiga appearances.
Barcelona have been closely monitoring Greenwood’s performances and are preparing to offer £40 million for him next summer.
As a major incentive, Barca are willing to offer Greenwood their iconic No.10 shirt, which Lionel Messi wore during his era at Camp Nou.
